Punch Party: Projekt

What is Punch party?

Punch party is a local multiplayer brawler for 2-4 players, where the main goal is to knock out your opponents with your extending “arm”. Trying to avoid getting hit yourself and avoid the environmental hazard going back and forth.

And in the end be only one still standing to be victorious.

Select one of the for characters and start punching away.

The level design

I was assigned to handle the underwater stage, the picture in the background is the final iteration of the "water level" it divides the four players from the start and makes it so the players have to move over to one another to get a punch in. or they can use the moving barrel in the middle, to bait the opponents to try and long-distance punch you.

if a player hits the moving barrel they will take the damage instead, since the games mechanic is punching from a distance, I made sure that you can try and make a diagonal punch through out the level.

SFX

for the SFX's we sat down and wrote all the voice lines, and how the four different players would interact, and what their personality would be, I did the Voice for our lizard friend over here, Westly Snipes, the quickest tongue puncher from the most western planet, Rexas.

aside from one the playable characters, I recorded and edited the rest of the SFX.

we made all our music and SFX by our self. so everything in the game is made by us at Glasssked.

we made a list of all the potential sound effects that we would need and recorded them.

Quality Assurance

for this project  i did a lot of QA and bug testing, tryng to "break our game" trying out different values and tweaks, to make the game feel as reponsive as possible, and with as few bugs as possible.

trying out different speeds, crashing in to boxes and coliders, trying to out run the moving hazards, and forceabley remove the player from the map and cheking camera behaviours etc.
